An extension can transform how you live in your home.
Loft conversions are great for providing extra bedrooms or a home office. They can really transform how a household lives together.
The extra space a loft conversion provides tends to be very private space, used by just a few lucky people. However, having that extra space helps to take the pressure off everyone living in the house in one way or another. The growing child who gets a bedroom of their own, the homeworker who finally gets a permanent desk away from the kitchen table, the parents no longer fighting with teenage children over access to a shower - everyone benefits.
Generally speaking a loft conversion is also a much easier proposition for a busy household to live through than an extension is. I've designed thousands of loft conversions over the years. I'm looking forward to designing a few thousand more.
